Sophie is a gentle and loving spirit.  She was one of our pregnant mommies who arrived here in Mechanicsburg almost 2 months ago.  It is her turn to find her forever home.   I believe Sophie was hit in her prior life because she will duck her head when you reach out to her.  It's such a shame because she is so loving and sweet.  She absolutely loves playing with other dogs and loves playing with tennis balls.  My Golden has taught her to retrieve.  She is happy to play with the ball and make up her own games.  Sophie is housetrained and crate trained.  I do have her trained to go in the crate on command.    She walks quite nicely on a leash and does well in a car.  We listed her as Feist mix, but we really don't know what she is.  She could be rat terrier or fox terrier, but she really doesn't have a terrier personality.  She has the coloring of a beagle, but she doesn't act like a hound either.  She is an absolutely lovely southern lady who would love to find a home.  If you are looking for an affectionate family member, Sophie could be your girl.  Sophie is spayed, UTD on all shots, and is HW negative.  Please apply at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org if you want to meet her and then email her foster mom at suehollenbach@comcast.net.
