We can't thank Dr. Kropa and Dr. Baughman enough for our new baby girl Shadow. She has melted into our family instantly it's just the perfect match. I promise to send updates and pictures.

We were so blessed to find Homeward Bound Animal Rescue! In February, we adopted Bear and Teddy (now Toby), two adorable 8-week-old retriever/aussie mix puppies. Two puppies were a LOT of work at first, but between the six of us, we managed well. =) Bear & Toby have been such a wonderful addition to our family! They're also great big brothers to their little Chihuahua mix sister, Lucy, and they learned early on that our two cats rule the roost. (But we're still trying to teach them that our bunny is NOT prey! haha) We couldn't be happier with our dogs or with Homeward Bound rescue. When we're ready to add to our little zoo, we would not hesitate to get another dog from HW. =)

We adopted Cleo (a Chinese Crested mix) in August of 2010 and she has been an absolute blessing. After losing our beloved Daisey (at the age of 14) in February of 2010 we longed to have another sweet dog to love. We went through a bad experience with an aggressive dog several months after Daisey's death and because of that we were nervous about adopting another dog. We happened upon Cleo on petfinder and then met her a few days later. We can't imagine life without her now. Thank you Jayme and all the other Fosters that make Homeward Bound such a great rescue! :)

We met Andie (Andrina) on April 3, 2011. She let us adopt her on April 5, 2011. Andie was cautiously optimistic that we would love her and feed her and welcome her to our family. Boy, did we! This is our first dog, not our first per, but our first young dog. She loves us and has this amazing whole body wag, not just the tail, the whole body. We just love Andie. We are learning how to be a good dog family and she is learning our rules, too. We are so glad to have taken the plunge into dog ownership. She makes us laugh out loud! We hope she loves us as much as we love her!

We adopted a cat original name Maryann and is known now as Esiz. She is such a pleasure to have and keeps my Chihauhau on her toes. The dog is 5lbs and Esiz is 16lbs. Never thought she would get so big, but its great. Would love to post a picture of AKA; Big Mama, here.

We adopted a female Rottweiler, Jenna (now Abbie) in May '09. She has been a complete joy and came to me after losing my beloved Polly to cancer. Abbie has completed 3 OB classes, earned her CGC in Aug '10 and we are now having a blast training in agility. She is the light of my life and I am so thankful to be owned by her. Thank you so much for bringing this wonderful girl into my life. I count my blessings every day.

We adopted Jenna, a female Rottweiler that came from HSOP in WV (she's now known as Abbie) in May '09 after losing my beloved Polly. From the day we brought her home, Abbie helped heal my heart and she is such a joy to have in my life. She passed her Canine Good Citizen test in August, and we are now training in Agility, which she loves! I have also taken her herding. Thank you so much for giving me this wonderful love. Life would not be the same without her.

I adopted my dog in 2007 from homeward bound and she is my best friend! I don't know what I would do without her. It's fun to come back and visit. :)

I recently adopted a lab mix from homeward bound. She came from Tennesse out of a house where 85 dogs were living. She is very shy of people but loves other cats and dogs. She is my best friend and very loylal to me. I couldn't have ask for a better companion. Love her so much. Can't imagin life without her.
