Meet Socks!  He has gorgeous forest green eyes, and he is going to be a big boy some day.  Socks is a happy boy who just enjoys life.  He loves being the center of attention.  He is always in some sort of activity from playing with balls, tug of war with my toys, or just acting silly.  Socks is one of Lucy's puppies.  I know it is hard to believe that these puppies have English Bulldog in them, but their mother is an English Bulldog mix.  We believe that daddy is a Great Pyrenees/Aussie/Border Collie mix because of the appearance of most of these puppies. Only one of the pups have the short coat of their mother.   Lucy and her family were surrendered to the Lawrence County Humane Society because the other dog on the property had gotten into a chicken coop and had killed some chickens.  The husband shot the dog who killed the chickens and intended to kill Lucy and her babies as well.  The wife intervened and got Lucy and her family to safety at Lawrence County Humane Society.   The puppies were not very old at that point.  We agreed to take Lucy and her family into our program.  We paid for all of their out of state vetting, transport costs, and have taken care of them since they arrived here in Pennsylvania on 5/21.  These puppies have received multiple wormings, treated with Bravecto (three month protection against flea/tick), received first Distemper/Parvo combo shot, microchipped and received a health check by our vet to be cleared for adoption.  If you are interested in adopting one of these gorgeous puppies, please apply at http://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.  Carla Hughes will be processing your adoption application, but once you are approved, your information will be handed off to the foster mom, Tiffany White.  These puppies are in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania 17070.  We do adopt out of state, but you must appear in person to adopt the puppy.  Please MapQuest their city to make sure you want to travel that far prior to completing an adoption application.  WE DO NOT SHIP PUPPIES.
