Meet Winter!  Winter is a spunky little girl.  She is constantly looking for the action.  She is a little princess and loves to be the center of attention.  She would do amazing in a home with kids who want a puppy to run and play with.   Winter is part of the "W" litter who was sent to us by Dumas Rescue in Kentucky.  This litter was turned over to Dumas Rescue by an elderly woman who kept their mommy.  Their mother looked like a Chi/Pug mix weighing approximately 18 pounds.  We think daddy could have been a MinPin mix.   The mommy to this litter was a stray who arrived pregnant on the elderly woman's property.  She took them into her home and allowed her to give birth indoors.  The woman made the decision to keep the mom when the mommy dog saved her life.  One day, the mommy dog blocked the path to her front door and  was trying to prevent her from stepping out onto her porch.  On her porch was a rattlesnake.   I think the mommy dog was showing her gratitude by protecting her savior from the dangers of that snake - but that's just my thoughts.  Dumas Rescue is spaying the mother dog to make sure that this is her final litter.   We agreed to take this family of 9 into our program.  We paid for all of their out of state vetting, transport costs, and have taken care of them since they arrived here in Pennsylvania.  These puppies have received multiple wormings, treated with Bravecto (three month protection against flea/tick), received first Distemper/Parvo combo shot, microchipped and received a health check by our vet to be cleared for adoption.  Our puppies are now tested for Parvo/HW/Lyme prior to getting their health clearance to reassure our adopters that they are healthy.  Their results were of course negative.  If you are interested in adopting one of these sweet puppies, please apply at http://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.  Carla Hughes will be processing your adoption application, but once you are approved, your information will be handed off to the foster mom, Marissa.  These puppies are in Etters, PA.  We do adopt out of state, but you must appear in person to adopt the puppy.  Please MapQuest their city to make sure you want to travel that far prior to completing an adoption application.  WE DO NOT SHIP PUPPIES.
