Abbey is a gorgeous pure bred German Shepherd. Her brother Tucker and she have found themselves in an unfortunate situation. Their parents can no longer keep them due to a relocation. They would love to stay together, but they understand that it might not be possible. Abbey's mom reports that she is crate trained and loves going inside her crate and that she is housebroken. She is totally UTD and is heartworm negative. She loves childre, but might knock down a smaller child while playing. She is excitable but never mean to anyone and her vet office always compliments her on how nice Abbey is behaved. Abbey is the Alpha dog in her house now, but she does not use aggression to assert her dominance - it is more likely friendly dominance. Abbey is very comfortable being around her brother Tucker, but she does not seem comfortable around other dogs. We do not knwo if this could be overcome by doing some socialization exercises. We do feel it would be best to either place Abbey with her brother or in a home without other dogs to be safe. Abbey would love to find her forever home soon. If you are interested in adopting Abbey, please contact her foster mom.
