Beau is a courtesy listing and not a Homeward Bound dog.
Beau is a great boy but he is a little thin.  His owners could not afford to keep him. He is very affectionate, and friendly. He makes up with total strangers pretty quickly (like about 5 seconds), good with other dogs after a bit of getting used to them, he loves kids too. We were told he wasn't good with cats BUT he paid NO attention to a cat roaming inside the vet office, so we are thinking he got excited about outside or cats running past his doghouse which is normal for most dogs, but I would suggest caution with cats at first. Up to date on shots, heartworm tested, the works.  Any questions contact Lori at lorilw@gmail.com.

UPDATE: Beau is out of the doghouse and now in foster care.
Beau enjoys his daily walks and is doing great. We're working on socializing him with the neighborhood 'park' dogs. (We don't have a doggie park here, everyone stays on lead), he tends to get over excited when he sees other dogs, he wants to play so bad. He doesn't show agression with his foster family dogs at all. He barks when he wants to go out, and walks well on lead, he's been walking anywhere from 1 to 1.5 miles a day since he got here. Beau is such a wonderful boy. He gives big Beau Bear Hugs, and kisses and would be so content to have a family to call his own.

Special Needs: LBM syndrome: Beau's special need is because he is large, black and male....the last dogs to find forever homes...the ones most often euthanized only because they are large, black and male. You can cure his special needs by finding a place in your hearts and your home for Beau.
