Baby is listed as a courtsey to another organization and is not a Homeward Bound Dog.  Please contact Carol if you have any questions at orrcpa@gmail.com. A genuine lap dog,  she is posted a special needs dog because of her leg.  She's about a year old, weighs 5.5 pounds and is about 9 inches at her shoulder.  I took her to the vet today and they said that she had broken leg (back left) that healed incorrectly, however it doesn't seem to bother her.   She doesn't use it as a rule, but every now and then she will put it down and stand on it.  She gets around great, goes up and down the stairs outside and the stairs between floors inside.  She's even agile enough to jump (or climb) out of my 2 ft x-pen.  I gave her a little Metacam yesterday and today and I think it's helped her move around a bit more.  She was very shy at first but now she's exploring.  She's OK with cats and gets along with other dogs once she gets to know them.  She's very affectionate with people and loves to be snuggled in a lap.  It's too soon to tell about the housebreaking yet.  I haven't seen her do anything, but she did go on the newpaper in her pen so she will go in the house.

Special Needs: I took her to the vet today and they said that she had broken leg (back left) that healed incorrectly, however it doesn't seem to bother her. She doesn't use it as a rule, but every now and then she will put it down and stand on it. A specialist may be able to correct this leg.
