Bella is an adorable long hair dachshund mix - with what - we're not sure, but she has longer legs than a dachshund. She has come to us from a very high kill shelter in Rutherford, NC. Bella has been spayed and made current on her vaccinations and is ready for her new home! She is a friendly and sweet girl who loves to have her belly rubbed. She is just a very happy-go-lucky dog!! Bella has a lot of energy and would need a family to exercise her everyday - whether it be for a daily walk or throwing her favorite squeak toy many times. Since she has a lot of energy, she would do best with a family with older children. She is very playful but likes to chase running children and jump on them and it can be very scary for the kids. Bella has been given a second chance and needs a wonderful family to let her prove it. Could you be that family?

Bella has something to say: "I am so glad I finally arrived in my foster home! Don't get me wrong, the people at the vet's office were really nice, but after having surgery (so I can't have any pups) and getting shots, it's nice to be at a home. But, I know that this is not my permanent home and I will have to move again, but it surely beats the other alternative! I love to give kisses and even better, I love to have my belly rubbed!! I am kind of active - so I would need to be exercised everyday! My foster mom walks me everyday and I just love it!! She also throws a tennis ball for me and I just love to chase it! I'm learning how to bring it back yet! Oh yeah, I also get along fine with other dogs as there are several here with me. I just want my own permanent family that I can constantly love on and they can constantly give me belly rubs! Would you be my special family?"

Bella is housebroken and crate trained. She gets along fine with other dogs. We're not sure how she is with cats.
