Tessie is a lab spaniel mix or possibly lab beagle mix.  I'm not totally sure.  She has this beautiful ticking on her chest and legs which could go with either breed.  She is a small girl maxes out at 35lbs.   She came to us pregnant on 12/11/10 and on 12/15/10 she delivered ten little bundles of joy.   Although it was quite a surprise as I didn't think she was ready to deliver and she didn't show any of the normal signs.   She woke me up at 2:30AM asking for help and by 7AM that day we had delivered ten little babies.  She has been a phenominal mother to her babies, and as her babies get ready to find their forever homes, it is time for Tessie to begin looking for her home too.

Tessie has a short coat, so she isn't too fond of this cold weather.  She goes outside does her business and comes in quickly for her treat.  Once she gets the proper amount of ear rubs, she settles down on one of our many dog beds.  Now that her puppies are six weeks old, Tessie needs more human companionship time and a breakaway from those demanding little pups.  Tessie is really nice in that she calms down quickly and can just kick back if we are playing cards or watching TV.  She does like to sit in my husband's lap though if we are watching TV to get her belly rubs.  Tessie is going to be spayed very shortly and a week after her spay she will be able to go home with her new family.  Tessie walks nicely on a leash and does not pull.
