Meet Rocky!!! Rocky was found sitting along a rural road. After searching for his owner, no one has claimed him. Their loss!!! He is a wonderful golden retriever who absolutely loves attention. He enjoys people and is great with children.
After we brought Rocky home we took him to the vet to get updated and he was found to have lyme disease. He has completed his series of antibiotics for it. The vet also found that he has a "floating knee-cap". That is the reason he will not be available for some time yet. He is scheduled to have surgery on Nov. 14 and will also be neutered at that point. The specialist told us that he will be able to move about and will be just fine after the surgery.
We are hoping to find his forever family before surgery. That way the family can see the true Rocky before he needs to stay calmer for a week or so. Also, it would be great to have him comfortable with his family before the surgery so he is comfortable going to them for the rest of his healing time.
