Tally is a gorgeous border collie mixed with what we believe is sheltie as she is a little bigger then a sheltie. She also has the sweet expression of a sheltie. She is definitely all herding breed though. She always wants her foster family to be in the same room. And when she runs around in our yard she will drop to the ground just like a working border collie. She is totally housetrained and was before we fostered her. We have been crate training her while we are at work. She has never had an accident in our home nor has she ever destroyed anything. When we are home, she has the full freedom of our home including while we are at sleep. She is incredibly sweet and just wants to be accepted by anyone who visits. She is great with other dogs and wants them to play with her, but if it is one of my older grumpy labs, she knows enough to leave them alone since they don't want to play. Her odd habit is liking to carry our socks around with her. She will run upstairs to pull a sock out of the laundry and then will carry it around like Linus with his blanket. Tally doesn't understand leashes and seems to be scared of them. We are working with a harness on her to help her feel more comfortable walking on one. If you take the leash off of her, she will stay right by your side if not under your feet. Tally's gorgeous coat will require a once a week brushing. Tally travels well in a car, but on back country roads she will drool a little (of course my driving tends to do that to both 2 legged and 4 legged passengers). Tally is spayed, HW/Lyme negative, UTD on her DHLPP and Rabies shots and has been to the groomers at Angie's Bark Avenue where she received a glowing report card about her behavior there. She can be microchipped should the adopter want it done at no additional cost. If you would like to meet Tally, please complete the online adoption application at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.
