We are happy to introduce you to Isa’s babies.  Isa and her babies – all girls - traveled to us from Rocky Mount VA on 1/2/12.  Isa had been at their local animal shelter, and they were unaware that she was pregnant until they arrived one morning to find Isa with her new babies.  Since newborns do not do well in shelter scenarios, I was contacted by the lovely women who volunteer there.  I was able to drive down and meet them in Woodstock, Virginia since I was off for the holidays.  Their mom Isa is pictured on our website.  We believe that Isa is smooth coat collie mixed with English Setter due to the markings on her legs.  We think that daddy was a yellow lab due to the solid yellow coloring on some of the babies and the shapes of their faces.  Golden Retriever very well could be part of the mix but we are not sure.  It was a tough decision trying to figure out whether it was golden or lab.  I’ve had these puppies since they were six days old, and they have been a joy to have in my home.  They are outgoing and full of mischief.  More than once, they have taken my flip flop off of my foot and dragged it off to chew on or to use as a tug toy with the other girls. These puppies have been very well socialized with children.  They are going to get along well with other dogs, cats, and children.  The pups have been wormed every week since they were two weeks old and received their DAPP combo vaccine at six weeks of age.  The puppies never mess in their sleeping area and have been trained to potty on paper.   They are extremely neat and do not mess where they shouldn’t.  The puppies were vet checked and have been cleared for adoption.   If you wish to meet these puppies you must fill out our online adoption application found at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.  You can email their foster mom at suehollenbach@comcast.net regarding availability and setting up meetings.  (Pictures will be posted on Wednesday.)
