Barney and his siblings have come to us from a very high kill shelter in Kentucky. He is so happy to be in a nice warm home and receiving food, water and lots of love on a regular basis! We believe Barney is a black labrador retriever mix - with what - we are not sure! He is one of the smaller ones of the litter weighing in at 15 pounds at 3 months. He will probably grow to be somewhere between medium and large. Barney is a dear boy who just wants a wonderful forever home. Are you the family that can give him that?

Barney has a few words of his own to say. "I am so glad to be in a safe, warm place with a big backyard to play. I am the only one left in the litter and I sure wish I could find my permanent home! There are 4 other dogs in the house and I get along great with all of them. There is a big dog that I really like to play with. There is also an old blind dog, but I leave her alone as she doesn't want to play. I have found the 2 family cats to be interesting too. I like to bark at them, but my foster momma tells me "no", so I stop. But, at least I don't chase them!! I am just a really happy, playful pup that so badly wants to find my forever home. Could that be you?"

Barney is making wonderful progress on his housetraining. He has had very few accidents and the ones he had were because I wasn't paying attention. Barney is also scheduled to be neutered.
