Emmie is the most social puppy in this litter.  Everyone just loved her little black face and fuzzy body from the beginning, so she was the puppy that was always picked up and held. She is the one who most resembles a chow.   One of youth volunteers would just hold her for her entire hour of volunteering.  Her little tail never stops wiggling back and forth.  And she is always the first one to run up to me to be picked up.  This is a fantastic puppy and very outgoing.  She will thrive in any environment.  Holly, the puppy's mommy, is a lab/chow mix with an ultra sweet demeanor.  She has already been chosen by an adopter who plans to train her to be a therapy dog.  She gets to go home with her new mommy on 2/8.  We believe the father was some sort of border collie mix due to the markings on some of the puppies.  Some of the puppies have a very fluffy coat created either by the chow or border collie mix. They all have a very sweet and playful manner.  Their mother was found by us pregnant in a KY shelter.  We paid to have her transported to us.  The puppies have been wormed every week since they turned two weeks old.  They received their DAPP shots at 6 weeks of age.  They went for their health exam at our vets at 7 weeks of age and all received a clean bill of health.  They were micro-chipped at this time with the AVID system.  If you wish to be considered for the adoption of one of Holly's puppies, please complete an online adoption form which can be found at http://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.  Once we have your application in an approved status, we will schedule a visit with the puppies.  The puppies are turning 8 weeks old on Thursday and will be released to their families on that day.  We cannot hold puppies, so if you are not prepared to take a puppy home at this time, please do not complete an application.
