Eddie, Evie, and Emmie have come to us all the way from a high kill shelter in South Carolina. As unfortunately is all too common, they were left overnight in a “drop box” and found by shelter workers in the morning. These sweet, innocent pups started their lives by being thrown away. Now, due to the untiring efforts of caring shelter volunteers, these pups have a bright future — one filled with love and happiness, where they will never be discarded again.

Eddie has something he’d like to say to you.
Boy oh boy, am I glad to be out of the shelter and up at foster mom’s house!! I was scared at the shelter, & I had some trouble with my fur because of flea bites. But I’m not scared anymore, & I am all cleaned up now, and my golden fur is growing in really nicely. I am having a great time playing with my two sisters, and we get lots of love and attention from all the people here. I just LOVE to be held and cuddled. Foster mommy tells me that I am quite the little love bug. Don’t tell her, but I think she’s a soft touch for my big brown puppy-dog eyes!! Every time I look up at her with love, she showers me with hugs and kisses. I really love that!! Foster mommy also tells me that the hard times in my life are over, and that I never again will have to worry about being hungry, or cold, or homeless. She says there’s a special someone out there who will make me part of a new family and that I’ll be cared for and loved for the rest of my life, and that no one will ever throw me away again. That sounds great to me; how about you? I am so ready to give a lifetime of love; so, how about it??

Adopting a puppy is a serious responsibility. If you have the time & ability to make a lifelong commitment to Eddie — to provide love and care for the rest of his life, regardless of what lies ahead in yours — please fill out an online application completely (including reference information), and Eddie’s foster mom will be in touch.

PLEASE NOTE: Eddie is being fostered in upstate NY, about an hour’s drive southwest of Albany. If you are not willing to make the necessary drive to meet your new family member & complete the adoption, please select a puppy more proximate to your location.

Only approved adopters who have fully completed our on-line application and have gone through our review/approval process will be invited to meet Eddie.

If Eddie is on our website (homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org) and is not listed as having an “adoption pending,” then he is still available. Inquiries about Eddie should be sent directly to his foster mom at cmonaco1@juno.com
