Specks is one of Maddie's puppies.  Maddie is a beagle mix, and we think daddy may have been a golden retriever or a lab.  One of the parents definitely has a fluffy coat and some of the puppies look like little golden retrievers on stubby legs.  They are just so darn cute.  Specks is an active guy and he'll keep his family on their toes. They'll need to provide him lots of opportunities to learn new things. He might have the makings to be an agility champion. Are you looking for a dog that will compliment your active lifestyle? If yes, then Specks may be the dog for you.

If you are interested in meeting any of Maddie's puppies, please apply at http://homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.  Once you fill out the adoption application, Sue Hollenbach will be in touch as she will be processing your app.  Once you reach the approved status, your application will be given to Christy King.  Christy King is the actual foster parent of the puppies, and she will be answering any of the personality questions you might have. The puppies have been wormed every week while in our care except for the week of their shots.  They received their first Distemper Combo shot on their 6 week birthday.  At 7 weeks of age, they went to our vet for a health certificate, so we could release them for adoption and to be microchipped.  They are microchipped with the AVID system.   Homeward Bound prepays the registration fee on the microchip for you, so there will be no additional costs for you.
