Meet: Sally. She has a fabulous personality, really she could be Miss Congeniality in a beauty pageant (not that she couldn't take the title, just sayin). She loves belly rubs and is very playful. This girl has some spunk and would appreciate an active house. Sally gets along well with other dogs and enjoys the company of kids. Sally will be nine weeks on Friday (January 16th) and ready to head to her forever home on Saturday (January 17th). Sally is thought to be a golden retriever mix. She comes from Kentucky where they have lots of Great Pyrenees, so she could be mixed with that too. She will likely be a decent sized dog, but I don't expect her to get much more than 70 lbs or so. Sally is up to date on her shots. She is also microchipped. She is not spayed as our rescue does not believe it is healthy for dogs this young to be spayed. Our adoption contract requires her adopter to spay her by nine months of age. This would be at the owners expense. If you would like to be considered to meet Sally, you must have an approved application with Homeward Bound Animal Rescue. It is best to complete the application directly on our website. Our process moves very quickly once an application is approved. If you are not immediately ready to bring Sally into your home, please do not apply for her.
