Gage was an owner surrender to the rescue.  He was surrendered through no fault of his own - his owner claiming to no longer have the time for a dog in her life.

Gage is a typical 8 month old puppy - a bundle of energy and crazy affectionate (once he gets to know you).  Gage is a fairly decent size (over 60 lbs) and will be a large full grown dog.  Gage needs a home where he can be the focus of attention - getting lots of exercise, consistent training, and positive reinforcement of good behaviors.  Gage is a smart puppy and picks things up VERY quickly.  However, when he was surrendered he was lacking in the manners department.  So, we are working hard to teach him his manners - he now knows how to sit, walk on a leash, fetch a ball, etc.  He is also crate trained and house broken.

Gage needs a home without young children (teenagers or adult kids would be fine).  He LOVES kids, but he needs a home where HE can be the center of attention.  Gage would also benefit from a companion that has experience training dogs, particularly herding breeds.

Gage is neutered and up to date on shots.
