Tanner was a mommy to five puppies.  We believe her to be a English Coonhound/Red Tick Coonhound.  Her puppies are now weaned and seeking their forever homes, and it is her time too.  Tanner is spayed, HW Neg., UTD on Distemper Combo and Rabies, and microchipped with the AVID system.  I don't usually foster hounds because frankly I'm a labrador kind of girl.  However, what an incredible surprise Tanner turned out to be!  She was quiet as a church mouse the whole 7 weeks she was with me raising her puppies.  And she didn't have that hound smell.  She also was the most laid back, low keyed dog for a young adult that I think I've ever fostered.  She is patient and gentle, and what I would refer to as a turn key dog.  Her only negative is that she liked shredding paper, but she shredded so she could make it fluffy and turn it into a nice nest to sleep in.  She let her babies sleep on the nice soft dog bed.  Over all I was super impressed with Tanner.  She will make a great family dog and will be fne around young children.  She is just rock solid and utterly calm.
