Sloan
Sloan

This is a picture of Sloan. Sloan was a very quiet, shy girl who has a rough start. She was very fortunate to have found wonderful, loving forever parents who give her a ton of love and take great care of her. Sloan has grown into a beautiful gal!

Sarah
Sarah

This is Sarah and her sister Shayna. They were very lucky sisters who found a loving forever home that adopted both of them. They are growing up to be big beautiful girls! Thank goodness their new mommy opened her heart and home to both of these sweeties!

Staley
Staley

Staley, now known as Tippy, and his 3 brothers were rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina. We are happy to report that all 3 have found their new forever homes and couldn't be happier. Tippy now has 3 new little brothers to play with (of the human kind) and he couldn't be happier. You can see more pictures of Tippy with his brothers by clicking on the link to his home page.

Sandie
Sandie

My husband and I began our search for a new addition to the family in January 2007 which led us to Homeward Bound. I had lengthy discussions with the director, Sue Hollenbach about our wishes for a new family member as well as our interest in volunteering/fostering. Sandie came to us mid-January as or first official foster. She had been an owner surrender and was in pretty bad shape due to a bached spay at the shelter where she came from. The moment I brought her home we knew we were going to adopt her (I think Sue secretly knew this all along). She just fit perfectly into our family of 5 consisting of my husband and I, our then 8 month old son, and our 2 border collie/sheltie mixes. It couldn't of been a better match for us. We adopted her at the end of January and nursed her back to health with the help of some wonderful veterinarians, she is now 100%. She is such a joy and my son just absolutely adores her. She is so patient and tolerant of him and loves him right back, probably because he sneeks her snacks all the time!!! Our family is complete and we have continued to volunteer and have fostered 7 other dogs since. It is extremely rewarding and Sue, as well as the other volunteers are very helpful. I would encourage anyone to give it a try and make a difference in an animals life, in most cases, we are there only hope. Thank you Homeward Bound!!!
