We are happy to introduce you to the eight babies that Bree gave birth to on Christmas Eve.  We are basing the puppies breed description on their mother who we believe to be a shepherd lab mix.  Four of the pups look exactly like their mother with the black coloring with white markings.  We have no idea what daddy may have been except for maybe another lab mix or collie mix.  Bree’s babies have taken after their mother’s personality.  They all seem to be a little bashful and trying to be the most submissive pack member.  It’s so cute.  You usually have a couple pups always trying to be the leader of the pack but not with these kids.    When I go and sit down in their area, they love to just lie on my lap or will crawl in behind my back and snuggle up.  I often find them curled up sleeping on or under a huge stuffed dog that I put in their crate with them.  They will snuggle down under the flappy ears of the legs.  It looks like the stuffed animal is hugging them.  These pups are going to get along well with other dogs, cats, and gentle children.  Kids that play really rough or are really loud may be too much for these puppies because of their gentle nature.   The pups have been wormed every week since they were two weeks old and received their DAPP combo vaccine at six weeks of age.  The puppies never mess in their sleeping area and have been trained to potty on paper.   They are extremely neat and do not mess where they shouldn’t.  They were vet checked on 2/11/12 and have been cleared for adoption by Farrell Veterinary Associates.  If you wish to meet these puppies you must fill out our online adoption application found at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.  You can email their foster mom at suehollenbach@comcast.net regarding availability and setting up meetings.

Ty is proof that mommy definitely is part lab.  Ty is a solid yellow little puppy with a perfect little lab face.  I was so excited when he came out - I'm partial to yellow labs - but he wasn't all that thrilled with me at first.  He wanted his mommy, and he didn't want me picking him up when he was 2-3 weeks old.  I was so disappointed when he would wiggle to get away from me.   He warmed up to me though when it came time to begin the puppy mush although he was definitely a milk boy.  He would have much rathered been suckling then eating my mush.  I don't think he was all that impressed with my cooking skills.  Now his little tail wags for me everytime I come down to play with them or take care of their area.  Ty is just a good looking boy and whoever gets him will be quite lucky.
