10 week old Ridgeback Leopard Dog

Peanut is just a beautiful little Ridgeback Cur who came with 8 pups and Momma into rescue.  Peanut is the shy one of the bunch.  But once you get her on your lap, she just relaxes and soaks up the attention.  She has the "ridge" which I tried to show in the photo.... The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a dog breed developed in Southern Africa where it was used (amongst other things) to hunt lions. This is most likely why this dog is known for its bravery...... about an inch of fur down the middle of her back grows the opposite direction.  It creates a unique look ;)  She is crate training well and has few accidents.  If you would like to meet Peanut, please complete our online adoption application at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.
