1.5 year old Leopard Dog

Shena is just a beautiful little shepherd who came with her 9 pups into rescue.   Shena and three of her pups are staying with me in my home.   She is recovering nicely from her spaying.  Otherwise, she had a few accidents the first few days...  She is house broken for the most part.  One full week with no accidents!  She is somewhat protective of her "den" and food.  I suspect this is due to her pups and her maternal instincts.  I did however find bite marks on her back which are healing up nicely.  I am spending a good bit of time working with her.  She has a great personality and is already learning agility tricks.... she is a natural.  However due to her aggression toward other dogs and strong prey drive (she LOVES cats... in a not so good way) I'd suggest Shena have an experienced owner with a firm hand.  Again she would make an excellent search and rescue dog or agility dog... she is amazingly fast.  This dog needs a task to be happy and someone who understands obediance.  If you would like to meet Shena, please complete our online adoption application at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.  She will not be available to take home until after healing from her spaying.
