Bowler is a super-intelligent, outgoing Australian Shepherd mix puppy.  Bowler is the smallest of the litter.  She has one green eye and one half- green/half-blue eye, giving her a very distinctive look!  Her face is speckled making it look like she has freckles...sooo cute!

Bowler runs a tight ship and is clearly the leader of the pack, despite the fact that she is the smallest.  Bowler takes it upon herself to correct the other puppies when they annoy her or she deems their behavior unacceptable - most of the time, she is correct.  Oddly enough, she doesn't exert any demands on her littermates at food time and gladly shares her bowl with them.

Bowler is easily the quickest learner and most responsive to human prompts, verbal or non-verbal.  When asked to do something she is unfamiliar with, she will be the first to comply.  Even at this tender age, she exhibits the Aussie trait of herding by constantly monitoring the movements of her sisters instead of having fun with them.  If you teach Bowler something once, she will continue the behavior without prompts, learning her first few days that you must sit before you get a treat.  She will sit patiently, trusting her treat will come, which it always does.

Bowler enjoys her one-on-one time, as well, and is quite spoiled.  She enjoys playing with her foster mom's 2 year old grandson and doesn't nip, bite or jump up, unless prompted to.  She would make an excellent obedience or agility candidate for some lucky family!!

If you think that Bowler would make a wonderful 'furever' family member, please go to www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org and complete an online application.  Bowler's foster mom will be in contact with you.
