10 week old Ridgeback Leopard Dog

Shadow is just a beautiful little shepherd mix who came with 8 pups and Momma into rescue.  Shadow is a fairly outgoing girl whose personality is starting to come out.  She is kind of the middle child puppie.  Not too aggressive and not too shy.  She has the "ridge" which I tried to show in the photo....The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a dog breed developed in Southern Africa where it was used (amongst other things) to hunt lions. This is most likely why this dog is known for its bravery.  As such, she has about a half inch wide swath of fur down the middle of her back grows the opposite direction.  It creates a unique look ;) She is crate training well and has few accidents.  If you would like to meet Shadow, please complete our online adoption application at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.
