8 week old Ridgeback Leopard Dog

Denver is just a beautiful little mix who came with 8 pups and Momma into rescue.  Denver is the big boy of the group.  He is very outgoing and loving.  The Rhodesian Ridgeback is a dog breed developed in Southern Africa where it was used (amongst other things) to hunt lions. This is most likely why this dog is known for its bravery.  He has the coloring of the Ridgeback, but not the ridge.  He is VERY smart.  He figured out how to open his cage :(  He is going to be a great dog, but he should be taught early on his place in your family, otherwise he will tell and teach you.... thus the problem with really smart dogs.  He is crate training and having fewer accidents every day.  If you would like to meet Denver, please complete our online adoption application at www.homewardbound2u.rescuegroups.org.
