Miss Nellie
Miss Nellie

Hello, My name is Miss Nellie and I came from a shelter where my owner dumped me. I was under fed and in need of medical attention. The people at the shelter said he didn't take very good care of me and they were hoping to get me to a rescue so that I could have medical attention and be taken care of until my forever family was found. I have had surgery to remove 2 cyst and I was identified as having heartworms. Thanks to Homeward Bound Animal Rescue I was saved, treated, and am fully recovered, not too mention I have also been adopted by a wonderful family. Thank you Homeward Bound, you saved my life!!! You can see more pictures of Miss Nellie in her new home by clicking on the link to her webpage.

Rachel
Rachel

While Rachel did not come from the best of circumstances (she was found tied to a porch, with no water, little food and living in a very small, dirty space with no clean areas to eat and sleep)she is safe in her new forever home. Rachel, who goes by Lilly now, is doing great, as we knew she would. Her parents report that she is very intelligent and very well behaved. She loves to go one walks as well as to the Tuesday night concerts in the park to play with all the children. Her parents also report that while Lilly is quite the looker, she is elusive to the camera!!! Lilly is the newest member of a wonderful family now and her past is definitely history!!!

Belle
Belle

Belle came into our organization as an owner surrender. She and her litter mates were found in a box on the side of a road when they were a few months old. New homes were found for all the puppies, all except Belle. She was left outside and wasn't played with or loved. Someone took notice of this and offered to take Belle off of their hands. But because Belle was not socialized and not use to humans, it made it very difficult for her to fit into her new family. Belle was very weary of humans, especially men and had never been in a house before. It took us a couple of days, but Belle warmed up to my husband, our 3 dogs, and even my young son. She never barked, never showed any signs of aggression, and amazingly never had an accident in the house. Belle was adopted by her forever family in April and is doing great. They report that she loves spending time with her sister, Peaches, and the rest of the family and she thoroughly enjoys lounging around on the couch snug as a bug in a rug. She graduated from obedience school and is one smart little girl. She is very playful and full of energy. Belle is very much loved and gives twice as much in return. You can see more pictures of Belle with her sister Peaches by clicking on the link to her web page. Thank you to her adopted family and to Homeward Bound for giving this sweet girl the life she so deserves.

Cali
Cali

Cali and her siblings were saved by Homeward Bound. They were scheduled to be put to sleep simply because there was no room for them in the shelter. Needless to say they were all placed in wonderful homes and will never have to worry about their saftey again. Cali was adopted by her forever home in December and has just blossomed into a beautiful young lady. Her foster parents report that she follows them around everywhere they go, loves food and is very playful. She hasn't met a human or animal that she didn't like!!! Cali is doing extremely well with her obediance training and loves the camera. You can see more pictures of Cali in her new home by clicking on the link to her webpage. Way to go Cali!!!

Bubby
Bubby

Bubby and two siblings were survivors. Their litter was struck with pavro virus, but kind guardian angels The Orrs worked hard to save these fluffy little puppies. Only three of the litter lived through the disease, and came to Homeward Bound healthy, but a bit scared. His forever Mom spotted him on our website while looking for a new friend for dog Harley. His new name is Ranger. As you can see in the photos, he is in love with his new big sister, has a dog friend named Cooper next door to play with, and enjoys the attention of all his cat friends. His Mom writes, "I can't imagine life without him. Thank you for bringing him into our lives!" Ranger started school this month, and is doing so well, Mom and Dad hope he might be able to become a therapy dog! Way to go Ranger!
